Frog - Clare

At tea time I saw a frog. It was funny because he had his hand's sitting on the louvers like a news reader. A few days later I went to the Strand for a scoot with Uncle Scott and I saw some birds. I saw a rainbow lorikeet.

Bushwalk - Abbey

On the 26th of April we went on a bushwalk to Cloudy Creek. It was a 4 kilometre walk including return. There was a lovely little pool in the sun (On the right). In the shallow part the water was about ankle height and in the deep part it was about as deep as my chest. (I didn't go into the deep because I didn't have a spare change of clothes) Then we walked back to the cars. After that we drove to Crystal Creek and had a swim (On the left). There was a bit where


the water pulled you down a little waterfall thing. It only went down about 2 feet and pulled you over a few smooth bumps then plopped you into a slightly deeper part. It was really fun.

Pet Shop - Clare

We went to the pet shop. I saw some parrots. I liked the princess parrot the most. It was funny when one of the parrots tried to eat the newspaper. They are cute. We saw a baby python and a lizard and some fish. There were turtles for sale. They were cute but they cost $99.

Barramundi - Clare

On Sunday we went fishing some Aboriginal ladies. They caught a Rock Cod. I thought it was a big fish. And then, they caught a HUGE Barramundi. Michelle was sitting by the water on a chair when she felt a big tug on the line. Her fishing line flew into the water. Mum helped her get it out. When she was pulling it it looked like he line would snap. Then it came a bit closer and closer until it was really close. Then we saw it everyone said "Wow!". She got it out and a nice man was fishing next to us. He pulled the Barramundi by its mouth. We took it home.

My reading spots are:

• The day bed - Because it is firm and comfy.

• Mum and Dad's King Sized Water-Bed - Because it is a KING-SIZED WATER BED !
• My Bed - Because it is my bed.
• Clare's bed - To annoy her.
• Bridie's Bed - because it is soft and close to the book box
• Couch No.1,2 and 3 - Because they are soft and comfy and nice
• The 2 table's - Because then I can eat and read at the same time
• the double seats - Because they give you a good view of the palm trees
  
• The Car - So I can finish exciting books while we drive
  

I Caught A Fish! - Bridie

On the way to fishing I fell off my scooter but I was ok. Some of the downstairs people were there fishing already. We put some prawn on the hook. Mummy threw it in the river. I just pulled the fishing line up and then I saw there was a fish on it! The fish was too small so we put it back in and it swam off.

On April Fools Day Abbey dipped my undies in water and put them in the freezer. After they were frozen she put them in my drawer. Then Dad told me to go and change my undies. When I went to the drawer I opened it and found the frozen undies. They were cold and icy. I didn't put them on. We laughed and laughed and laughed. It was really funny.

Turtles - Abbey

On Saturday we went fishing at Riverways with the Aboriginals downstairs. I caught a Turtle! The turtles grab on to your skin and hold on until it rips. We didn't keep the turtle, we let it go, but I didn't like that bit so I walked away while one of the Aboriginal ladies got it off the hook.
