Crystal Creek - Abbey

Yesterday we went to Crystal Creek. We found a massive swimming hole, it was deeper than Dad's head and I was scared of the deep bit and you would be to if you have read the Spiderwick Chronicles, book two, there is a giant human eating troll thing that lives in deep water and is as tall as a 2 story building.(if it was man eating troll I wouldn't be worried 'cause I'm not a man, I'm a girl) We slid down a water fall. The part we slid down was only 'bout 2 meters high and we slid on the wet bit on the right side and it goes down another meter. The whole thing was 'bout 50 meters. We only slid down at the bottom of it. Dad jumped off a massive rock. You can't see the bottom of the deep swimming hole.

On Thursday I went to the Aquarium and I saw a Sawfish in the tunnel and a sting ray. Then we went to the turtle talk and we got to go to the turtle hospital. One was a very endangered turtle. People were taking their shells and making them in to jewellery. The turtles were in big tanks.
???Did you know???? The Green Sea Turtle is called 'green' because it has green flesh. This is because they eat mostly green sea grass!

Billabong Sanctuary - Abbey

On Sunday the 25th of April we went to Billabong Sanctuary. There was a whoppin' great big croc called Jaws and he was MASSIVE! He was about over 2 meters! I'm guessing 'cause I forgot how big the fella said he was. They left Jaws' cage door open which scared me heaps. The pic is of Jaws' 4th and only living girlfriend. He killed his other 3! Jaws is way bigger than his girlfriend so that might give you an idea of how big he is. There was a cassowary and I got to feed him.The fella said that cassowaries don't attack with their head things, they attack with their big toes. The toe has this BIG claw that could probably rip you open! Ouch! Then we went to my favourite part. The reptile handling! I got to hold a baby croc! (But I noticed that it's jaws were sticky taped together, and that took some of the fun out of it) Then I got to hold an olive python! His name is Ollie.(Not the most original name!) He is 'bout as long as 2 adults. The lady said that he had never bitten anyone before but there is always a first time for everything and this could be your unlucky day. That just made me want to hold him more! It was SOOOOOOOOOO fun! The lady let me have another go! I think that most of the other people were scared out of their wits!
